COLOMBO (News 1st) - The verdict in the case against 24 defendants, including Naufar Maulavi, under 23,270 charges including conspiring and aiding and abetting the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks, was delivered a short while ago. The verdict was delivered by a Trial-at-Bar comprising Judges Navaratne Marasinghe, Ramanathan Kannan and Sujeewa Nissanka.
The case against 24 accused, including Naufer Moulavi, over 23,270 charges relating to conspiring, aiding and abetting suicide terrorist attacks targeting tourist hotels, churches and other locations in Colombo and several other areas on Easter Sunday in 2019 commenced at around 12.20 p.m. today for the pronouncement of the judgment.
