China has pledged to support the digitalisation of Sri Lanka's judicial system by introducing artificial intelligence, as discussed between Sri Lankan Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakkara and Chinese Ambassador Wei Huaxiang. The talks covered judicial reforms such as anti‑corruption measures, an e‑Court project, voice‑to‑text technology, improved court infrastructure, prison overcrowding reduction, and handling of case exhibits. Both sides emphasised continued cooperation based on bilateral friendship.
