Sri Lanka's Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Nanayakkara, announced the issuance of 17,506 government analyst reports on drug offenses over the past two months, with 9,061 reports in August and 8,445 in September. The minister highlighted efforts to establish a coordinated inter-institutional mechanism at Kuruwita Prison to manage emergency situations and reduce prison congestion through legislative amendments.
