A Chinese professional team is being deployed to assist Sri Lankan authorities in investigating the explosion at the Polonnaruwa National Nephrology Hospital, which killed one employee and injured seven others. Police suspect a gas leak in the kitchen caused the blast, and a separate ministry-level investigation has been launched.
