The Sri Lanka Department of Meteorology forecasts heavy rainfall of about 75 mm in parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Southern provinces, with thundershowers expected in Uva, Eastern, North Central provinces and Mullaitivu district after 1:00 PM. The public is advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning.
