The Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it is closely monitoring the case of Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan national sentenced to five years in prison in Saudi Arabia for posting social media content deemed insulting to a religion. The ministry is coordinating with Sri Lanka's Riyadh embassy and Saudi diplomatic missions in Colombo while conducting diplomatic discussions to safeguard Sivarasa's interests.
